Delete my SOULBOOK account
You can ask to delete your account and your data without signing in to SOULBOOK. We send a link to the email address you registered with, to confirm it is you.
What happens when you delete your account:
- Your account is closed and your Souls are hidden right away.
- After 3 days your data is deleted (name, email, password, photo), together with your Souls and all their content, your messages, connections and reactions. Until then you can cancel with the link we email you.
- If your Souls contain memories left by other people, they are not your data: we notify them by email and the memories are deleted after 30 days so they can keep a copy. Meanwhile they stay hidden from everyone.
- The memories and comments you left in other people's Souls are handled as you choose below.
- Once carried out, the deletion cannot be undone.
For security and evidence purposes some records are kept, without identifying you, for limited periods: reports and moderation actions (2 years after the report is closed) and the record of acceptance of the terms (up to 5 years after deletion). The hosting provider's backups expire on their own within up to 30 days. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Do you want to delete only some data, without closing your account? You can delete your photos, videos, audio, documents, texts and memories from your SOULBOOK account (they are hidden right away and permanently deleted within 90 days at most), or ask for specific data to be deleted by writing to legal@soulbook.website from your account email (we answer within 5 business days).
If you no longer have access to that email or your account is suspended, write to legal@soulbook.website.
